Name of band: Follow You Home.
Who else is in your band? Mikey Davis (rhythm), Nick Ayre (lead), Rich Davis (bass) and Tom Bradshaw(drums).
How would you describe yourselves? We’re a female fronted rock band with heaps of attitude behind hard hitting and catchy songs.
Who are your main influences musically? We’re less influenced and more inspired by other artists and bands. Being the female front to the band I find strong women in rock, such as Amy Lee and Brody Dalle, to be ideal inspirations.
What do you hope to achieve in music? We work towards reaching out to many diverse groups of music fans by writings songs people can relate to and feel with. If we turn just one persons attitude or day around with a song, that’s quite an achievement.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why? Opening for SUM41 at the 013, Tilburg was a huge moment for us because not only had most of us followed their music through the years, but it was also a huge achievement based on our own hard work. That alongside selling out our hometown show twice, weeks in advance. That blows us away!
And what’s the moment you want to forget? I honestly can’t think of one! But it’s early days yet, that may change ha.
If you could choose one of your songs as an advert for your music, what would it be and why? ‘Save Yourself’ – Because it’s relevant, relateable, it’s positive and empowering and we still get a huge buzz from playing it.
