Scott Wilson (7 string
guitar).
Where are you from?
Anderson, South Carolina, USA.
Name of band:
SIXandTWENTY.
Who else is in your band?
Tyler Winstead (vox),
Dean Rose (bass, vox), Brad Parris (guitar) and Harold Smith (drums,
percussion).
How would you describe yourselves?
A more accessible form
of progressive metal, groove-laden with lots of riffs, time signature changes,
and we also like to tell stories with our lyrics.
Who are your main influences
musically?
Tool, Mastodon, Gojira,
Alice In Chains, Clutch, Prong.
What do you hope to achieve
in music?
We write what we like to
listen to - and we feel successful and fulfilled when we get to showcase our
music to others!
What has been the highlight
of your career so far, and why?
Opening for Halestorm (a
week before they won their Grammy) to a sold-out crowd in Greenville, SC! Also,
we did a self-financed mini-tour of the midwest last year.
And what’s the moment you
want to forget?
Nothing. What doesn't
kill you (of embarassment) makes you stronger.
If you had to choose just one
of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Bring Forth
Purity, off our second CD Calculations From The Black Night
Sky. It has everything we like to do - soaring vocals, abrasive vocal
stylings, harmony, riffs and rhythm changes, amazing drumming - listen for
yourself!
Where can we listen to it?
Where can we find out more
about your music?
Anything else you’d like to
say about your band that I forgot to ask?
We love to play LIVE! Come out
and catch a show - we promise you WON'T be disapointed!
