Odel.
Where are you
from?
London, England, via the
North East.
Name of band:
The Knievel Dead
Who else is in
your band?
We also have Old
Greg (he's not really old), Jeremy Knievel (no relation) and Val Hooligan.
How would you
describe yourselves?
A storm in a tea
cup, a bull in a china shop, a high pitched screaming girl in a house of
mirrors. One of those, depending on your mood.
Who are your
main influences musically?
We're of the Joy
Division, Bauhaus, Nick Cave, Interpol kind of vein.
What do you hope
to achieve in music?
We just love
playing, writing, recording... If people are into that, they can get involved.
What has been
the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Being invited to
play NXNE was a bit special for us, we haven't been together as a band for that
long so it was a bit of a shock.
And what’s the
moment you want to forget?
Playing to empty
rooms in Camden.
If you could
choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and
why?
'Something Of
The Night' has always encompassed what we're all about I think. There's a
darkness there, but not without it's beauty.
Where can we
listen to it?
Where can we
find out more about your music?
You're welcome
to stalk us on any of these social media platforms.
Anything else
you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
We're probably
hiding in your wardrobe right now. Better go check...
