Colton Brown.

Where are you from?

Moore Haven, Florida.

How would you describe yourself?

I am a rapper/producer. I produce, record, and mix all of my music myself. I would describe my music as a blend of rap, rock, and a little country thrown in every now and then. Think along the lines of Kid Rock meets Eminem meets Fla-Ga Line, and you would be close to my sound.

Who are your main influences musically?

My main influences would have to be Eminem, Kid Rock, Colt Ford, T.I., T-Pain, Nappy Roots, Fla-Ga Line, etc.

What do you hope to achieve in music?

I just want to be heard. Being an independent artist, I do not have false hopes of fame and fortune, I've been doing this for too long!

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?

I would say the highlight of my career was performing live at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fl. back in 2009. It was an experience I will never forget. The energy level from the crowd was amazing!

And what’s the moment you want to forget?

I would like to forget the first 3-4 years of my so-called "career" back then. Looking back I realize it was all a learning experience, but some of the music I made back then was downright embarrassing, and nowadays I find myself ashamed that I used to promote it all over the place! You live and you learn, just like anything else in life. It is all part of growing as an artist I suppose.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?

If I had to pick just one song, I would pick my "Empty Glass ft. Gary Stewart" remix.  This is the song that started me down the path where I'm at now with my music. It basically defined my sound as an artist and to this day it remains one of my fans favorite songs.
