Jonny Debt finally scratch a seven-year itch

CANADIAN rock outfit Jonny Debt have released the single Purple Heart.

Frontman Jonny, from Hamilton, Ontario, told RealSoundsOK: "It's a track that has sat dormant for years, seven years to be exact. I wrote the first track while dating my high school girlfriend and opened the song back up when we recently got back together.

"In addition to young love it's about living in the moment, trusting your imagination and fighting the dark side of your psyche from eating away at your creativity. In order to remain in the moment, we recorded live off the floor. Songs usually mean many things. Recording anything let's you know how short life is, and music needs to remind you of that."
