Nicola and Helen Frisby.
Where are you from?
South London.
Name of band:
The Frisbys.
Who else is in your band?
Marc Robinson and Sam Keer.
How would you describe yourselves?
Alternative folk pop with lots of harmonies!
Who are your main influences musically?
We’re influenced by a wide range of musicians and bands.
Fleetwood Mac, The Staves, First Aid Kit, The Eagles to name just a
few.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
We hope to be able to make music that makes people feel
something, happy or sad. We’d love to be able to do it always.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and
why?
That’s quite tricky. Possibly reaching number 45 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Charts, with our debut EP Philosolove. Mostly
because it was totally unexpected! Playing at the National
History Museum, amongst the dinosaurs, was pretty special too.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
There are a couple of early gigs that might be best
forgotton!
If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent
your music, what would it be and why?
Give Into The Dark, which is on our new EP. I think it
sums up what we love to do as a band.
Where can we listen to it?
It will be on our new E.P ‘The Cause’ in few months but right now you can stream a live version of it at
www.soundcloud.com/thefrisbysband.
There are also a couple of FREE DOWNLOADS available on
there too.
Where can we find out more about your music?
Anything else you’d like to say that I forgot to ask?
We have our only gig for a while coming up soon -
Inspiral Café, Camden, on Thursday 25th September. Free
Entry!
