Albert Phillips.
Where are your from?
My family is originally from Kilkenny, Ireland, but I grew up in South Trenton, New Jersey.
How would you describe yourself?
I think I'm a good person. Musical description: Singer/songwriter/guitarist.
What are your main influences musically?
The biggest influence musically would have to be Oasis, love that band and the way Noel Gallagher writes songs. The Sundays, the guitar sound of that band. Other influences would be: The Cranberries, Catherine the Wheel and The Smiths.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
Originally, it was to get a multi-album deal with a major record company and make tons of money. These days however, it's just to get as much music released as possible and to leave behind a lasting catalog.
What has been the highlight of your career so far and why?
Probably, signing on with music distribution giant CDbaby and getting my debut album Albert Phillips released back in January of 2013 and seeing my music on iTunes and in Sony's music store.
And what's the moment you want to forget?
The night I played a gig back in November of 2003 in Satellite Beach, Florida, and my voice cracked in the middle of the song I was singing. Ouch. Crazy thing was, it was a song I wrote. Your voice shouldn't crack on a song you write.
If you had to pick one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Magnetic, no doubt about it. Best recorded track I've ever done, most likely will end up on my third album Chasing Blue Skyand it has an Oasis vibe to it.

Anything else you'd like to say about your music that I forgot to ask?
I began playing the guitar at age 15 and I can also play bass as well. I've played in a number of rock bands during my career, with the last being Tyre Iron back in 1983.
In December of 2002, I submitted a demo to Jewel through her company Soul City Café at the time Jewel was looking for an opening act for her 2003 US tour and I was one of the musicians considered for that spot.
In closing, I just want to say thank you to Greg and RealSoundsOK for the interview. It's been great.
