Olly (Lead
Guitarist).
Where are you
from?:
Conwy Valley in
North Wales.
Name of
band:
Lucy Was A Decoy.
Who else is in
your band?:
Hefin:
Vocals/Guitar
Jake: Bass
Guitar
Perry: Drums
How
would you describe yourselves?:
Just four Welsh
lads from the valleys, with a passion for rock &n roll.
Who are your
main influences musically?:
Our biggest
influences would have to be bands like The Libertines and the View, you know,
proper indie rock music from the early 2000s. Our singer, Hef, is also mad in
to the Rolling Stones, and you can definitely hear that influence in his song
writing.
What do you hope
to achieve in music?:
Playing live
shows would have to be our biggest passion. We'd love to be able to tour a lot
and make a living out of it. If our music could allow us to travel the world
and play in as many countries as possible, that would also be pretty
special.
What has been
the highlight of your career so far, and why?:
I wouldn't say
there's been one stand out "highlight". As I said earlier our passion
is playing live. We love every show we play, and we've been lucky enough to
play some great venues across the UK over the past year.
And what’s the
moment you want to forget?
Luckily there's
not been too many, but I think the winner is when we had a few too many before
a show in our hometown of Llandudno, and our singer decided to smash his lovely
guitar up. Safe to say he regretted it the next day!
If you had to
pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
It's hard to
choose just one, but I think I'll go with our tune Corrupted, I
really like the summery vibe of this song.
Where can we
listen to it?
Where
can we find out more about your music?
Anything else
you’d like to say that I forgot to ask?
We have a new EP
coming out at the end of October/start of November that we're very excited
about, so basically watch this space!
