Bathurst Station Q&A

Your name:
Ted Sevdalis.

Where are you from?
Toronto, Canada.

Name of band:
Bathurst Station.

Who else is in your band?
Rachael Richards - Lead Vocals,
Adrian Ross - Lead Vocals,
Ted Sevdalis - Guitar / BG Vox,
Lindsay Clark - Keys / BG Vox,
Jen Benton - Bass,
Brad Park - Drums

How would you describe yourselves and your music?
Duet band, all duets, all the time, Rock/Pop, 2 lead vocalists.

Who are your main influences musically?
Rock musicals and concept albums: The Who - Tommy, Pink Floyd - The Wall, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Coheed and Cambria, Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
To contribute to pop culture in a meaningful and original way and to connect to people with music.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Working with David Bendeth (Paramore, BMTH, Of Mice and Men, Papa Roach, etc). It was like a crash corse in production, arrangement and mixing. The time we spent at House of Loud in NJ was not only eye opening but helped us define our sound. At the end of the day all other achievements don't really mean anything if you can't back it up with a pro sounding product.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
The gig when our singer Rachael had the flu and puked five times pre show and three times post show but managed not to barf on stage.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
That's a hard one, you gonna make us pick one of our babies over the others?? I guess our single Broken sums us us pretty well.
It's classic but modern at the same time, obviously it's a duet, the lyrics are a conversation, it's a break up song, it's melodic.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?

Anything else you’d like to say about your music that I forgot to ask?
We have been hosting a string of shows in Toronto called "Girls Rock" featuring all female fronted bands in support of women in rock. Planning a UK tour for spring 2015!!!!
