CULT power pop outfit Eureka Machines will release their fourth album Brain Waves in March after a highly successful crowd-funding project.They managed to hit 100 per cent of their target within 80 minutes and 200 per cent within two days.
The band from West Yorkshire - featuring Chris Catalyst from The Sisters Of Mercy and The Ginger Wildheart Band on guitar/vocals, Davros (guitar/backing vocals), Pete Human (bass guitar/backing vocals) and Wayne Insane on drums - will donate 10 per cent to mental health charity MIND.
Pre-orders will include exclusive content starting with a free four-track 80s covers EP including The Bangles Walk Like An Egyptian.
Talking about their fans' involvement in the project, Catalyst said: "It means everything. In the grand scheme of things we are a tiny band but the people that care about us really care.
"That means far more to us than having half a million people who quite like the band.
"People being willing to part with their hard-earned cash to fund our records - especially in the current climate - is a huge deal to us and we intend to repay them ten-fold."
