Band name:
My Little Empire.
Where are you from?
Borehamwood,
Hertfordshire. Where they film big brother and EastEnders! haha :)
Who is in your band?
Rob Dodkin
(guitars/vocals), Stuart Hurley (guitars), Nathan Wright (drums) and Keith
Sayers (bass).
How would you describe yourselves?
Energetic pop rock.
Who are your main influences musically?
All the band listen to
really different stuff from RnB to heavy metal. I think we all agree on a few
bands though. Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro and Kids In Glass Houses are our
personal favourites.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
We have never been out to
become super stars. We just want to play music we like and we enjoy making!
Once we don't write songs that are not us or it stops being fun I think we will
give it up.
What has been the highlight of your career so far,
and why?
Looking back we have done
so many things we never thought we would be doing. We sold out some venues we
used to go and watch bands ourselves, Barfly and Islington O2 to name a few.
We've also done a live BBC Introducing session which was pretty cool!
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
We played the BBC
Introducing stage at the Love Luton Festival and it had been raining all
weekend! As we played our opening chords the heavens opened big time, the kind
of rain that hurts! There was water coming on to the stage and we were all
getting soaked! We ended up playing to more mud than humans! Not the best time
we have had! haha!
If you could choose one of your songs as an advert
for your music, what would it be and why?
Our new single Solitude
definitely. It’s what we’re all about.
Where can we listen to it?
Where can we find out more about your music?
