BONO has confirmed U2 have begun working on a new studio album, but fans may be in for a wait.
Speaking to The Sun in the UK, Bono channelled the Oasis boys by saying his band were 'mad for it'.
"U2 have been back they're really in fine fettle," he said. "They're mad for it at the moment and they really want to make a new record, and they don't care if it takes 10 years - they don't care if it never happens again - they just want to get it right.
2009's No Line On The Horizon was the band's last album and they have been taking a break having completed an extensive tour which ended in mid-2011.
