What do you hope to achieve in music?
We are keen to
make music and performing our career and be able to do it full time. A life
spent rehearsing, in recording studios and on the road at live events is
immensely appealing to us.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and
why?
The speed in which the band has developed and the feedback and
opportunities we have received have definitely been the highlight. We are
pleased to see that our hard work and many hours spent crafting and rehearsing
the tunes is appreciated by fans, promoters and venues. Our dedication and
focus has afforded us the opportunity to play many of the top venues in Glasgow
as well as places up and down the country and a more and more festivals. With
this momentum built up we are keen to capitalise on it and we are confident
that 2013 is going to be quite a transitional year for us as we make our bid
for maximum exposure and ultimately that major label signing. Releasing our
debut single on iTunes has also been a goal achieved. 'All the Things
You've done' was released in early February 2013 and is downloadable from 20+
digital music retailers.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
I'm sure
it's a common story for most bands but those gigs you play, when you first
start out and you're on your way up, where you are virtually playing to bar
staff can be quite disheartening and really make you question at times if it's
all worth it, but perseverance and a professional attitude will always see you
through these tough times and help build character and create a strong unit and
solid bond between band members and help you focus on the future and building
and boosting your profile. A good learning curve but definitely moments you'd
rather forget!
If you could choose just one of your songs to represent
your music, what would it be and why?
At this stage that is a tricky
question to answer as it's still early days but a track like 'I Got Lovin'
which has got a very hooky, old-school guitar riff that's reminiscent of the
Rolling Stones is a good bench mark for the kind of music that influences us
and really conveys the energy and lively spirit of the band and it's individual
members.
