High energy blues/ rock band playing a wide
variety of covers peppered with some great originals.
We are a favorite at many local clubs and festivals. Blistering Harmonica and
Sizzling guitar driven band

Jr Wells, BB King, Buddy Guy,
Etta James, Rolling Stones amongst many
others.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
To create some great albums and become recognized as a strong act helping to keep the blues alive and bring
joy through our music to our followers and fans.

The highlight of my
career thus far has to be when my band opened
for The Young Rascals and The Blues Project in 1966 at The Brooklyn Academy of
music in New york in front of about 8,000 people. At the age of 16 that was an
amazing experience.

We were
playing at a large local club (won't mention the name) with a relatively
new bass player to our band that was very accomplished
and an excellent bass player when in the last half of the first set he walked out
for no apparent reason and quit and we were left with drums, guitar and
harmonica to finish the night and no bass. It was embarrassing to us at first
but we just kept on rockin and doing our best and believe it or not there were
no complaints or negative comments. But it was a rough gig for the three of us mentally. WE DID IT THOUGH!

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
That is a rough question because we
have so much representation that varies over our
many different songs. In originals - it would have to be Fire In Your Eyes
which shoes how a blues oriented band can still rock. Our other original, Just Let Me Sing The Blues represents a new unique blues
sound, and Knowin That I'll Be Alright shows that we can rock out on country as
well!

The band comes from a diverse range of age and
genre backgrounds to create their own original sound. A unique blend of modern
hits, blues and rock classics, peppered with original compositions, they play a
high energy show suitable for any age group, that will keep you dancing or
toe-tapping the whole show. As one of our avid fans stated, “your grooves cut
clean and hard through the genre clutter to grab my ears and soul".
With Bert Calderon and Shaw From leading the music,
the Wailin' Wolves Band continues performing exciting shows with a great
variety. Chicago bred and born, “Wailin’ Bert” Calderon brings his roots and
style from the home of the blues, Chicago. He has been playing professionally
since the age of 15 and spent his teen years in New York around some of the greatest
artists of the era. He brings his experience as an accomplished guitar player,
arranger, and songwriter to the Wailin' Wolves Band. Having shared stages with
the likes of The Young Rascals, the Butterfield Blues Band, The Blues Project,
Demian Bell, Randall "Big Daddy Blues" Webster, Jeff Conaway, Spirit,
and numerous others, he brings his unique style, a blend of Chicago bluez,
classic rock, and 60's / 70's rock, to his unique arrangements. He has played
at numerous venues from FL to NY, college campuses, and many other festivals
and well-known stages. He opened up for The Young Rascals in 1966 at Brooklyn
Academy Of Music in NY, has written a number of songs and plays lead, rhythm,
and bass guitar, pleasing crowds of all sizes.
“Slim Shaw” From was the original founder of The
Wailin' Wolves band and plays a blistering blues harp and adds some very
soulful vocals and harmonies. He is an integral part of the band and management
with an exciting stage presence as he wails on harmonica and delivers soul shaking
vocals. His love of the blues and classics shines through in his delivery on
stage giving each show a unique experience. Exchanging leads between the harp
and guitar evokes a great response from our audiences in every venue we play.
He has been influenced by many of the blues greatest artists, including Howlin’
Wolf, Jr. Wells, The Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters, and more. He plays with
tremendous passion emanating his great love of blues and classic rock music.
Our front woman, female lead vocalist, Raychill
Muller, is a twenty two yr. old student at FSU, with vocal training and a
phenomenal vocal range. She produces a high energy show with awesome vocal
talent. She also adds her singer/ songwriter talent to the band and guitar
playing, adding her special influence on all our songs. Listen to her as she
grows with The Wailin' Wolves Band, a great new rising star!
Charlie McCall is our newest addition with
multi-years’ experience on bass guitar. We welcome his expertise and grooves to
the band. He has played on numerous stages of all sizes and brings with him
great experience and expertise.
The band has a great diversity in their music that
helps create their sound making the Wailin' Wolves Band gain in popularity
every show.

energy, rocking show!
