James.
Where are you
from?
Alcester,
Warwickshire.
Name of band:
Cassette Days.
Who else is in
your band?
Christian plays
guitar and sings, Dave's our guitarist turned bassist and Cyrielle smashes
the skins.
How would you
describe yourselves?
Indie/rock
quartet by night, responsible 9-5ers by day.
Who are your
main influences musically?
Oasis, The Jam,
The Libertines and Ocean Colour Scene are my greatest influences. I'm
loving Swim Deep at the moment, they've got a really nice sound.
What do you hope
to achieve in music?
It's hard at the
moment for guitar bands like us to break in to the industry but we'd really
like for our style of music to be popular again and back in the
charts. And we'd love to get signed one day. I think we all want that.
What has been
the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Writing a song
about a former colleague. It's all about his incompetence but the music's
really uplifting. He was rubbish at the job though.
And what’s the
moment you want to forget?
Writing a song
about a former colleague - I'm not sure how happy he'd be if he heard the
lyrics!
If you had to
pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Lost along the
Way - it's carefree and catchy (just like the video).
Where can we
listen to it?
On the youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToAxBqB74L8
