Ryker Sear unveil video for Forever Criminal

MELODIC rock duo Ryker Sear have unveiled the video for Forever Criminal with the track available as a free download from October 13th.

The Milton Keynes pair - Regan Vincenza (vocals, rhythm guitar) and James Torselli (bass) - told RealSoundsOK: "Forever Criminal imagines what would happen to someone facing a split-second decision: you have to kill someone in order to save your own life.

"Afterwards, you realise that you’ll have to be on the run for the rest of your life – always thinking of the past and wishing that you could change the events that led up to such a drastic action.

"I think we can all relate to the song as many of us have something that we run from or try to escape in our past."

Big Sixes debut Swallowing Flies video

BIG Sixes have released their new single Swallowing Flies with an accompanying video.

After a hectic year of touring, the Buckinghamshire four-piece holed up with producer Toby and emerged with the new track.

Vocalist and guitarist, Charlie, dominates the mix with his up-tempo yet spiritually downbeat acoustic plucking, as matched by his soulful recollections. Drummer Max enters the mix with his crisp, militaristic percussion, alongside the restrained backing of Toby and bassist Charles.

'Swallowing Flies' first saw play on BBC Introducing, while the video for the track was self-made by the boys.

The band say they are rediscovering their DIY roots after a near break-up in December.

You can find out more about Big Sixes at www.bigsixes.com, on Facebook and Twitter.
