New EP coming from To Be Frank

TO Be Frank will release a four-track EP Nothing on Solebay Music from July 1st.

Showcasing the breadth of talent that Frank has, Nothing offers up a different style of production with a more electronic feel to three of the four tracks.

He said: "The EP is a selection of tracks written from various places, not all my own situations but all written in my studio. I wanted the EP to reflect the various styles I am currently working on at present."

To Be Frank is Frank Pescod, a producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist from Suffolk. The varied style of music that he produces is inspired by a family of artists and reflects his passion for music, both in writing and performing.

Official video for To Be Frank's new track

THIS is the official video for To Be Frank's If You Love Her.

Already gaining support in the UK from BBC 6 Music and Huw Stephens at Radio 1, the track is a stripped back, uncomplicated and honest piece of music.

It was self-produced by Frank Pescod himself and he is keen for it to "speak for itself".

The Suffolk singer and multi-instrumentalist said: "Too many artists are about the story these days, rather than just letting the music talk."

Frank has already seen music success with  his own sync company and record label Solebay Music, penning scores for the likes of Harley Davidson, Louis Vuitton, River Island and various television shows and films.

He is currently working on an EP, but in the meantime you can listen to the track above, or find out more about To Be Frank at www.tobefrankmusic.com/www.facebook.com/tobefranksounds or www.twitter.com/tobefrankmusic

Debut single from To Be Frank

SINGER, producer and multi-instrumentalist To Be Frank is releasing his debut single on April 1 through Solebay Music.

If You Love Her is a stripped back, uncomplicated piece of music by the Suffolk artist.

“Too many artists are about the story these days, rather than just letting the music talk,” said Frank, who has already seen music success with his own sync company and record label Solebay Music, penning scores for the likes of Harley Davidson, Louis Vuitton, River Island and various television shows and films.

Working with a DIY ethos throughout his career, To Be Frank started working on his sound and honing his own  from a young age, taking influence from some of music’s pioneers such as Aretha Franklin, Aphex Twin, Marvin Gaye and Prince to name a few.

Personal influences came from growing up in an extremely creative family, Frank’s mother and father were both artists who encouraged his interest in music, which seems to run in the family as Franks great-great grandfather was the composer Michel Bergson taught by Chopin and father to the world renowned philosopher and Nobel prize winner Henri Bergson.

Moving forward to the present day and musically Frank enjoys a variety of music from rock to electro, dance to soul and everything in-between. As an artist he doesn’t want to pigeonhole himself and takes pride in his curiosity to always try new things.

You can find out more about him via Facebook, Twitter or you can listen to If You Love Her at the top of this page.
