A SELECTION of DJs and artists will perform at The Garage in London next month as part of the Fred Perry’s Sub-Sonic Live series.
The main room will see King Krule, Rainy Milo and Night Works, while The Line Of Best Fit DJs and Ghostpoet play in the mini bar.
It takes place on Thursday, March 28, with tickets at £5 available from http://www.
King Krule is south-east London’s rough jewel. A very talented young man, his unexpected deep and mournful baritone is disappointment and disillusionment personified. His first UK tour was a sell out and his status as ‘one to watch’ was cemented with an inclusion in the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll.
Young songtress Rainy Milo has already caught the attention of the 2013 MOBO Spotlight series and tipped for great adventures in the coming year. Also born in south-east London, Rainy started singing with local musicians and arts collectives at the age of 14, eventually coming across a beat producer BLCK RSSN. After various offers from record labels were declined because she felt it was too soon, work was started on Limey, her debut EP.
Sub-Sonic Live has been an integral part of Fred Perry’s Subculture website reporting on the best of emerging international talent, and is the live manifestation of the concept. The bi-monthly event showcases emerging international talent across two stages. Recent artists who have appeared as part of Sub-Sonic Live include The Horrors, Afrika Bambaattaa, The Charlatans, Factory Floor,Tom Vek Andrew Weatherall and Greg Wilson.
