Who else is in your band?
Just us two, but we do have other musicians when we perform live.
How would you describe yourselves?
Blaks: Eclectic, its tough placing yourself... every artist wants to present themselves as different. We are rappers and producers.
Who are your main influences musically?
Reks: For us, influences come from the people around us who are hard working. So people in the UK scene like Wretch and Tinie [Tempah] definitely influence us.
Blaks: It's hard to say because there are so many artists that influence us in different ways... for example JME, he says what he wants, doesn't water anything down, he's successful plus independe
What do you hope to achieve in music?
Blaks: To look after our family, and express ourselves... it's our way of telling our stories and getting our opinions across.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Reks: I would say performing with Emile Sande, it was just a random and breathtaking experience. She is so humble for a woman with such amazing talent.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
Blaks: One time I wore sunglasses on stage and the lights were really dim so midway through a performance I tripped over the mic cable... not really a good look!
If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Reks: That's so hard because no one thing can define a person especially in under three minutes, but if we had to pick, it would be our new single TRAFFIC.
Blaks: It represents where we are as people today and talks about the struggle to stay focused.
