New single from Weekend Riot Club

WEEKEND Riot Club have released their new single Things Are Looking Up Again.

The band formed in Ontario, Canada, in 2010 when singer Melissa Marchese and guitarist Mike Chetcuti recruited drummer Paul Fontes and began work on their debut album.

Melissa said: "We knew we wanted songs that gave people an opportunity to feel something. We wanted the songs to empower our listeners, having them look inward, rather than at political figures and corporations for solutions to the personal and societal disasters around them."

It was with this spirit that they entered the studio with producer/engineer Nick Blagona (Deep Purple, Alexisonfire, Sheepdogs) to record their first full length album.

The result is Psychotropia, a collection of songs written about addiction, suffering, political turmoil, and a flirtation with insanity, all seen through a lens of love and hope.

Things Are Looking Up Again is the second single from the album.
