Sister Shotgun Q&A

Your name:
Chloe Ozwell (Vocals).

Where are you from?
Stourbridge, West Midlands.

Name of band:
Sister Shotgun.

Who else is in your band?
Martyn Bullock (Guitar/Backing Vocals), Niall Wills (Guitar/Backing Vocals), Micheal Wood (Bass) and Ollie Patton (Drums).

How would you describe yourselves?
I don't really know how to describe us. We're a mix of a lot of things but we never really sat down and discussed how we wanted to sound, we just kind of did it. Although our rule was "Big riffs and catchy choruses!"

Who are your main influences musically?
Avenged Sevenfold is a big one for all of us. We love everything about that band. Halestorm is also a pretty massive one. It's the one we get compared to the most. We' re all massive fans of 80's classic rock and metal too, so bands like Motley Crue have definitely had an impact but we have such varied musical tastes and we're inspired by a lot of different bands and artists so its hard to pin down just a few.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
A long and successful career  just like everyone else in this crazy business. We'd just really like to make a living from doing what we're passionate about and hopefully make our mark.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
So far for me, It was probably having Brian Tatler from Diamond Head come in and help us record our EP. That was so surreal. He is the sweetest guy though and was so supportive of what we were doing. He even recorded some backing vocals for us.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
Even though the gig itself was amazing, I have to say the time we played the O2 Academy 3 because on the day I'd managed to contract the norovirus and I was in agony the whole evening but I just about held it together for our set. I did have a close call half way through our last song though.

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
All of them haha! I know I can't do that but it's a tough question because if you listen to our EP, each song is different and shows a different side to the band so I don't think I can pick just one.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?
We're also on Spotify, Amazon Music and Google Music if you fancy a gander.

Anything else you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
Secretly, one of the band members is a T Rex. Don't tell any one though...
