Ctrl The Mob Q&A

Your name:
John Jericho, lead singer, guitar, bass & organ.

Where are you from?
From all over Sweden actually, from Boden to Stockholm and everything in between, but Gnarp in Hälsingland is the base.

Name of band:
Ctrl the Mob.

Who else is in your band?
Michael Jericho - Lead guitar, bass and backup singer; T.C. - Mix/recording engineer, a good friend and a major source of inspiration.

How would you describe yourselves?
The mob has many heads but no brains. Probably the nicest people you've ever met, though!

Who are your main influences musically?
From cape jazz to space rock..extremely mixed and daily updated. Nick Drake, Hendrix, George Harrison, Erroll Garner and so on...

What do you hope to achieve in music?
Lie-in, world peace and a bunch of English groupies but most of all to create a masterpiece.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
An email from Fredrik Wikingsson, a famous television host and Swedish journalist, who said: "BRA LÅTJÄVEL".

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
The first and last gig so far, a major disaster in many ways. Crappy technicians and monitoring and a real asshole mf-promoter. In that moment, I wanted to kill him.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Probably Sex, Faith, Love, Hate. I just love the gutiar riff...and the lyrics.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?

Anything else you’d like to say about your band/music that I forgot to ask?
What does GNARP stand for? Get Nothing And Ride Pigs!
