Rum For Giant Robots Q&A

Your names:
Liam & Angela.

Where are you from?
Hong Kong and Northern Ireland.

Name of band:
Rum For Giant Robots.

Who else is in your band?
It’s just the two of us.

How would you describe yourselves?
Blues folkabilly.

Who are your main influences musically?
Liam – Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Dispatch, Muddy Waters, Trampled by Turtles.
Angela - Joy Williams, Lykki Li, The Staves

What do you hope to achieve in music?
World domination. Literally. Dictator style. And play at Scala.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
The first time the audience started singing our songs back to us. We’re always under the impression that no one has a clue what we’re singing.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
Nothing big, yet, but we’ve both sang bum notes during a set. Never a good feeling, especially when its recorded and you hear it back.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Dance Pose – it was difficult to choose because our songs vary in style quite a bit. Under our self-proclaimed genre of ‘blues folkabilly’, this song represents it the best.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?
