Allusondrugs should have gone to uni

GRUNGE kids Allusondrugs have made the track I Should Have Gone To Uni available as a free download.

The band recorded and mixed the track as well as producing, filming and editing the video themselves during a two-day break between gigs.

Guitarist and songwriter Damo Hughes told RealSoundsOK: "This song was written about three years ago while I was at a particularly low point.

"I was watching all the people I used to know starting up families, moving towards higher education and going on to do great things while I wasn’t really doing anything with my life. It’s basically about being depressed and feeling like you’ve done all the wrong things and don’t really have a place in the world.

"Musically I think the song is fairly upbeat though, I’ve always really liked the juxtaposition of dark, depressing lyrics over optimistic sounding music."

The five-piece from Castleford, West Yorkshire, formed in 2012 and have been making a name for themselves on the tour circuit supporting their self-titled EP, playing shows with Marmozets and Lonely The Brave, as well as an appearance at Reading & Leeds Festivals.

They hit the road again next week on a headline tour featuring Lyger, Forever Cult and Prom that starts in Manchester on November 25th before taking in Glasgow, Leeds, Stoke, Norwich, London, Tunbridge Wells and ending in Cardiff on December 5th.

It’s essentially concerning being depressed and feeling like you’ve done all the incorrect things and don’t very have an area within the world capstone project.
