Debut EP from Standards

PUNK trio Standards have released their new EP Kid.

And the band from St Catherines, Ontario, have been in touch with RealSoundsOK to tell us about themselves.

Dre told us: "Jesse and I started  writing music together in Grade Six. The material was mediocre to say the least, but we clicked so well that it took off from there.

"In 2009, I was introduced to Zach through Jesse, who both played in a band together. He couldn't play a fuckin' note. I'm not kidding. But damn, he was funny; just such a cool dude and made rehearsing a lot easier.

"Finally last year, Jesse agreed to put down his guitar, opting to smack the shit outta the drums. From the first practice, we knew this was the right thing to do. 

"We all love and appreciate old/new music, so long as it's 'good'. The EP was recorded before hitting legal drinking age, and we're excited by what the future might bring!  

"Everything comes to a head, it feels like we have our shit more figured out then ever and I hope that translates to our album."
