Ship Captain Crew Q&A

Band name:
Ship Captain Crew.

Where are you from?
Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Who else is in your band?
Roy Cogill - (Bass)
Ben Darling - (Guitar)
Roger Moreno - (Vocals)
Mike Reda - (Drums)
Angelo Sakellaropulos (Guitar)

How would you describe yourselves?
Ship Captain Crew showcase a combination of melodic, punk infused breakdowns with resonating and impactful instrumentals, refusing to conform to the pop-punk stereotypes, exploring darker themes and heavier overtones.

Who are your main influences musically?
Our main influences include Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Alkaline Trio, Between the Buried & Me, American Football.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
We hope to be constantly creating music that pushes the boundaries of pop-punk, and bringing that music to people across America and the World.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
The highlight of our career has been filming a music video for our song "Notebooks" with our good friend Jay Galbreath.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
The moment we'd like to forget would be two weeks ago, getting a flat tire and a dead battery in the same night, outside our show at Township in Logan Square, Chicago. We always try and learn from our mistakes, though. F*cking up is half of the fun.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
If we had to pick one song to define us, it would be Notebooks. It's about not defining yourself, haha!

Where can we listen to it?
You can listen to it on our Bandcamp & download it for free.

Where can we find out more about your music?
We also have news, pictures, videos & other weird stuff on our other sites.
