Somehow Jo! Q&A

Your name:
Christian "CH" Saurén.

Where are you from?
Tampere, Finland.

Name of band:
Somehow Jo!

Who else is in your band?
Sakari Karjalainen on lead guitar, Eero Aaltonen on bass and Lassi Peiponen on drums.

How would you describe yourselves and your music?
We are 4 dudes from Finland experimenting with music and having fun with it.

Who are your main influences musically?
There are so many influential music out there that it's impossible to even begin to name them. But I have to say Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. When I was little my dad used to play Rainbow tapes in the car and I remember digging Blackmores guitar stuff and obviously Dios voice and that's where it all must've started.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
We all have high hopes and big dreams but we try to take it one show at a time and better ourselves all the time and see where it gets us. I really feel we have a good shot with our high energy shows.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
We've got some attention overseas and Radio time in U.S. and Europe and a deal with Inverse Records. Also we shared the stage with the awesome Noora Louhimo so that was an honor. But every time I discover we've made some kind of progress it's a highlight.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
Oh man.. During the Satans of Swing tour we had two shows in a row for the first time ever. So the show on the first night was awesome and everybody feeling great and after the show we went partying with the local folks pretty hard trough the morning so the next day was pure agony and we surely learned a valuable lesson there.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Fool. That song has some weird vibes in a good way and it will stick in mind for days.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?
www.somehowjo.net includes everything :) Of course we are on Facebook, Twitter, ITunes, Spotify, Rdio etc…

Anything else you’d like to say about your music that I forgot to ask?
We are working on new material at the moment and already I can honestly say that we've grown so much as songwriters. We start recording somewhere in 2016 and when that album gets out.. Hold on to your hats!
