Left For Red Q&A

Your name:
Daniel Carter (Bass player of Left for Red).

Where are you from?
Dudley, West Midlands, United Kingdom.

Name of band:
Left for Red.

Who else is in your band?
Rob Hadley on drums, Aaron Foy on guitar, Phil Smith on guitar and LC Decoy on vocals.

How would you describe yourselves?
Half Ton of Metal.
LFR’s sound is a mixture of Punk, Metal and Rock. Layering powerful melodies and catchy riffs over a thundering rhythm section, this makes you want to sing, dance and beat the crap out of the person next to you.

Who are your main influences musically?
My personal influences are Devin Townsend/SYL, Opeth, Deftones, Mastodon, Chimaira etc. We are all into different styles of music so I am sure they would tell you different.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
We want to become the biggest and baddest metal band out there (We are already the biggest just in a different context).

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
We have had several highlights in our career so far these are supporting one of my favourite bands from the USA Chimaira they were a massive influence on me when I was younger and got me into the scene that I love, we have also supported some huge British bands such as Revoker and Beholder.
Most recently we won a TNA/KERRANG competition where our music was used on the TNA Road to Lockdown tour, our music was played in some huge arenas around the country and our song is also going to be featured on TNA IMPACT within the next few weeks.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
I personally do not want to forget anything, what has happened in the past has built and continues to build LFR.

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Our most recent single ‘Mercy Flight’ pretty much sums up Left for Red it has melody, heavy guitar and bass riffs and pounding drums.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?

#leftforredband

Anything else you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
Keep an eye out for us as when we come to your town we are going to drink all your alcohol, eat all your food and blast some heavy metal into your ears… or something along those lines HAHA!
