Your
name:
The Sonic Revolvers.
Where are you
from?
Cheshire, UK.
Who is in your
band?
Darrell Tinsely: Vocals
Richey Jones: Guitar
Phil Mealing: Bass
Mike Jones: Drums
How would you
describe yourselves?
Mixing a classic rock sound with a modern day alternative.
Who are your main
influences musically?
Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Biffy Clyro, Manic Street
Preachers.
What do you hope
to achieve in music?
We really want to reach as many people as possible.
We feel we have something to give and things to say about modern life whether
its love, politics or failure. We set ourselves goals and we want to play
some of the biggest venues in the world, and become a name everyone
knows. Bands are scared to say we want to be massive as its seen uncool,
but we quite like it. We want the challenge.
What has been the
highlight of your career so far, and why?
There have been many milestones. Our music video really
did a great job for us in terms of coverage and our recent signing with freaky
pug records is a massive achievement as it gives a sense that were heading
in the right direction and happy that other people believe in what we do.
And what’s the
moment you want to forget?
There’s been no real embarrassing moments. There's a few
gigs we could forget about and a couple of songs that will never be heard!
If you could
choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and
why?
The one song that is really doing well for us at the
minute is called 'Feverglass' and it’s a little bit different to most songs in our
set, a bit edgy and slower but really gets people excited about our band. It’s
not our typical sound at the minute, but it’s opened up a door for future ideas
and songs.
Where can we
listen to it?
Where can we find out more about your music?
We are on Facebook and Twitter with @sonicrevolvers, our
official website www.thesonicrevolvers.co.uk and iTunes.
Anything else
you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
We would just ask people to check us out If You love rock
music with big riffs with a catchy chrous then we might be up your street. Our
live shows are always fun and energetic so would ask people to come along and
scream your revolution! We are all about the good times, about
putting on a good show and entertaining people with songs that people can
connect with. We yearn for social change and write about what interests
people but without forcing the subject matter on them. Take all the songs at
surface level if you like, but there’s always a deeper meaning.
