Kidd Pert.
Where are you from?
Leeds, England.
Name of band:
Beretta Suicide.
Who else is in your band?
Joey K,
Ryan Earl, Noel Horton
How would you describe yourselves?
Punk rock n
rollers.
Who are your main influences musically?
Guns n
Roses, Wildhearts, Bronx, Aerosmith, Rancid, Ramones, Hardcore Superstar, Sex Pistols, Alice in Chains.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
We want to give
rock music its fucking balls back! For too long now the rock scene has been full of identikit,
safe, pretty boy scenesters with nothing to say and no originality. We want to make rock music
dangerous again. We want it to mean something again.
For me personally, I want to be in a band that means
something to someone as much as certain bands do for me.
What has been the highlight of your career so far,
and why?
Recording and releasing our debut album (out now! #shamelessplug) was pretty cool. And we
toured Europe with the Misfits – that was pretty special!
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
I want to
forget nothing! As a band we try and learn from every experience – unfortunately it is usually the
bad moments that you learn the most from, so it is important to take on board everything that
happens and learn from it and grow into the mega beast of rock we know we can be!
Also, I forget so much anyway it would be nice to be able
to remember something!
If you could choose just one of your songs to
represent your music, what would it be and why?
‘Another Wolf in the Wings’ – it’s just a class song and
incorporates everything we try and do: everyday lyrics that people can relate to, catchy chorus,
melody balanced with passion and aggression, rock n roll with a punk attitude!
Where can we listen to it?
Where can we find out more about your music?
Anything else you’d like to say about your band that I
forgot to ask?
You should listen to us if you are tired of the same old shit being force fed to you by
faceless scene makers and bullshit artists. If you are looking for something true, something made by
people that believe in what they are doing, something that matters – we want you to join us!
