What do you hope to achieve in music?
To bring rock n roll back to the mainstream.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Performing in general, all the shows are great, connecting with the audience, seeing people dance to our songs, the whole live show experience in general is a lot of fun.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
We don't fret the small stuff. There have been low moments, as with anything that requires lots of hard work. We could bring things up, but its better to not give energy into the negative. Any road block is just an obstacle to overcome. If something bad happens, we talk about it, decide the best way to overcome it and then move on. Learn from the problem so it never happens again. It makes us stronger musicians and a stronger band. We try to learn from the past. Its very similar to our name. Precious Bones. We acknowledge the past, but instead of ignoring it we build on it and move forward stronger from it.
If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Goodtimes, because it shows how no matter how bad things are, you keep going and try to make the best out of it. If we could count all the times people told us we'd never make it in the music industry and time after time, we've proven them wrong. We all have a time limit in this lifetime. Its important to not let that define us. To move ahead and make the best out of our lives while we have time. Do remarkable things. Play remarkable music. Also, on another level, the song represents a lot of different genres of music, funk, rock n roll, hard rock.....like our band, its a blend of so many different styles into one unique sound.
Where can we listen to it?
Where can we find out more about your music?
Anything else you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
We started Precious Bones in January of 2012 as a answer to the stale corporate music of today's auto-tuned top 40. We hope to bring rock n roll back to the mainstream and to bring quality back to the top 40. In November, we released our first EP Fracture. We ask people to listen to it and check us out online. Order our EP from amazon.com. We think you'll find our lyrics are pure and speak from the heart. Our music is multi-layered and capture an essence of many different genres. Our sound, as a whole, is magical. People from many different cultures and backgrounds will love Precious Bones. Our live shows are full of energy and power. At many shows we have people dancing in the audience and we leave people with smiles on their faces. That, to us, means we did our job. If we can bring happiness and fun into people's lives and yet also instill important messages, then did what we set out to accomplish. Who are Precious Bones? A movement. A sound. A band. A message. All that and more.
these guys rock!
ReplyDeleteI'm proud to have first videotaped them at a small New Jersey club called The Clash Bar. They were euphoric and more. I hope to see them again...
