Modern indie/post punk
Who are your main influences musically?
Interpol, Frightened Rabbit, The Walkmen, The Strokes, Bloc Party, Foals.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
I have been to see lots of bands over the last few years who the average man on the street will never hear about. These same bands sell out most small to medium sized venues they play, tour internationally and have a global fanbase in the hundreds of thousands. They write honest intelligent music, which appeals to honest intelligent people. I aspire to be one of these bands.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
It is yet to come.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
I've been in bands continuously for almost 11 years, during this time I have played a fair number of shit gigs. There have been a handful of particularly bad ones in my previous bands where there has been either shambolic organisation by the promoter or some kind of equipment failure etc. I get pretty embarrassed when things like that have happened and we had brought a load of people down to watch.
If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
The Greatest Lie Ever Told - The theme of this song is based on something I feel very strongly about and it was the first song we wrote as a band that we really felt represented the direction we wanted to go in.
