Desolated return with new EP

SOUTHAMPTON noise merchants Desolated bring out Disorder Of Mind on July 15th.

The EP is the band's follow up to 2012 debut Verse Of Jesus and sees them stepping out with the release on their own label imprint.

Guitarist Rich Unsworth said: "Verse Of Judas was a concept album about how religion can be twisted and turned.

"Disorder Of Mind is themed around depression and psychosis, around struggle and the pain that people go through regularly because their mind fails on them.

"We really just wanted to make the heaviest, most aggressive record we could. We wanted to make this to vent our aggression - this music is about suffering.

"I guess these songs were a way for us of letting go of some angst and some personal feelings, so it really made sense for us to keep everything else about the release as personal as possible too."
