Black Sonic Revolver Q&A

Your name:
Leon James Kenny.

Where are you from?
Manchester, England.

Name of band:
Black Sonic Revolver.

Who is in your band?
Leon James Kenny - Vocals/Guitar
James Elvin - Guitar
Kevin Rochford - Guitar/Vocals
Joel Riley - Bass
Jason Hanley - Drums

How would you describe yourselves?
Loveable and partially insane.

Who are your main influences musically?
A bit of everything, from the rock n roll and psychedelia of the 1960s, through grunge, 90s Brit Pop and the garage rock revival of the 2000s.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
Unity.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Being the main support act for John Power of Cast's sold out show at Brixton Jamm in January, and then being invited into his dressing room after the show to drink his beers and hang out for a bit, and as for why... Well, I bought his albums as a kid in school growing up. It was a real honour for me.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
None. I'm here to live it man! We all are, whatever comes at us, we're just happy to be doing it. Although, we did get unjustly attacked on stage by some drunken idiot just 30 seconds into the first song of a show recently and I was thrown through a drum kit. But we soon sorted that out...

If you had to choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Errrmm, well, all my lyrics are personal, and what I was going through at the time, but everybody tells me it's a track called If I Could See Into The Future, shortened for our debut demo EP release to just Future.

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?

Anything else you’d like to say that I forgot to ask?
Our debut four-track demo EP I Always Knew It is available for FREE download on our Soundcloud page... that, and thank you very much for having us involved :-)
