Moscow Metro Q&A

Band name:
Moscow Metro.

Where are you from?
Limerick City, Ireland/ San Francisco, California.

How would you describe yourselves?
Post-punk revival.

Who are your main influences musically?
Martin Hannett, The Joy Division, The Replacements, Echo and the Bunnymen, and The National.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
To create a body of work that has meaning to us and to our fans.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Our last performance, we really delivered our songs and connected with the audience.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
There isn't a moment we desire to forget as of yet, maybe an unsatisfactory performance, but to forget something means we can not learn from anything from the experience.

If you had to choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
At the moment, we would have to choose our lead single Spirit Of A City, because it has a haunting grandeur that is at the core of the album we are currently writing. It is the first song we wrote together as a band, and it shows insight into Moscow Metro and the musical style that we will be developing over time.

Where can we listen to it?
