David
Rybka.
Where are you
from?
Wigan.
Name of band:
Deepshade.
Who else is in
your band?
Tom Doherty on
bass and Paul
Barlow on drums.
How would you
describe yourselves and your music?
We are three individuals who conjure up hard hitting music with a heavy overtone on
originality and sonic bliss.
Who are your
main influences musically?
Musically, life's hard struggle is our influence. We also listen to a wide variety of
music, no one has ever told me what genre we fit into! Someone did say "Spy Rock" once..
We
Like bands like The Eighties
Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Amazing Snakeheads, Nirvana, Neil Young, Sabbath,
Faith No More, Kyuss, Muse, David Bowie - the list is endless, I could be here
typing for hours...
What do you hope
to achieve in music?
Connection with
true spirit, originality and also to afford my rent and new guitar
strings.
What has been
the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Recording our
debut album as it sounds so damm heavy. Touring Mexico, supporting many
many bands, playing in the mountains of Spain, a Mexican high security prison,
all the toilets of UK, drinking tequila with famous friends and generally
living life to the full.
And what’s the
moment you want to forget?
I forget everything on a daily
basis.
If you had to
pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Probably
Chairman, as it's a sonic assault on your ears for four minutes, in your face, balls out riffage..
Where can we
listen to it?
Where can we
find out more about your music?
Anything else
you’d like to say about your music that I forgot to ask?
Debut album
coming soon and videos and rockumentary too.
