Strong rumours of return from The Strokes

THERE are strong rumours that The Strokes are to return with their fifth studio album later this year.

Seattle radio station 107.7 The End claimed on its Facebook page they had heard the first track All The Time and thanked RCA Records.

“We’ll have to ‘leak’ this soon,” they said. “You won’t be disappointed.”

Billboard claims to have had the news of the album confirmed, but its news story only quotes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr from 2011, the year the band released its last album Angles.

It also reports the band booked time in New York’s Electric Lady Studios in June last year.

However, there has been no update on the band’s official website, Twitter account or RCA’s website, so we’ll have to wait to get it firmed up for sure.

Either way, fans of the band will be hoping for a little more of The Strokes early magic to return after a relatively disappointing last album.
