Dirty Crows Q&A

Your name:
Philippe Bonert (Guitar).

Where are you from?
Diekirch, Luxembourg, Europe.

Name of band:
Dirty Crows.

Who else is in your band?
Marc Bonert (main vocals, guitar), Mauro Fiermonte (bass), Daniel Frantz (drums, background vocals).

How would you describe yourselves?
The rock'n'roll sensation Dirty Crows from Luxembourg is a four men desert-rock band formed in late 2010 which vowed to give their passion to rock'n'roll.
The somber, dark and unique wall of sound, coupled with a badass storm piper bass machine, driving, down tuned drums and the croaky voice of the frontman is typical for the band's sound.

Who are your main influences musically?
Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss, Nirvana, The Kinks, The Black Keys, Blood Red Shoes, Motörhead.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
Always to be true and sincere through the entire process of songwriting. Having fun on stage and spreading our music, passion and love over the whole world.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Playing as support band for Girlschool, a band which was on tour with Motörhead in the seventies. Playing as support act for the german bands 'Jennifer Rostock' and 'Madsen' . Recording our debut album in Bavaria, Germany with the German producer Jan Kerscher.

And what's the moment you want to forget?
We don't want to forget any of the moments we shared as a band on stage and as individuals, because every negative or positive moment gives you the possibility to develop and evolve as a band on stage and enlarge your personality.

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
Hit The Road! A song about the complete freedom you feel when enjoying your life and the things you do. Music is a valve to release emotions and feelings. Hit The Road! perfectly describes the pleasure of life and the fact that you are responsible for trespassing your personal inner limits.

Anything else you'd like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?
We wanna thank you for giving us the possibility to talk about our band in the UK. It means a lot to us to support independent blogs and people who share the same love to music as we do. We are proud to share our music with other people and hope that it will please them!
