Kerosene Creek Q&A

Your name:
Mandi Lee.

Name of band:
Kerosene Creek.

Who is in your band?:
Mandi Lee - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin/ John Hughes - Lead Vocals, Bass/ Libby McGrath - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Fiddle/ Pete Allison - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar/ Dale Rivard - Steel Guitar/ Scott McQuaig - Back Up Vocals, Drums.

Where are you from?:
All of us are from Ontario, Canada. Scott, Libby and myself are from Cambridge, John and Pete are from Brantford and Dale is from Tilbury.

How would you describe yourselves?
Well, we are you're average everyday Joes with an extreme passion and talent for country music. We put everything we have into our music and strive to do our very best to keep our fans happy and coming back for more!

Who are your main influences musically?
Gretchen Wilson, Johnny Cash, Jewel, Dierks Bentley, Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Faith Hill...There are just too many to list!

What do you hope to achieve in music?
We would love to make a living of making and performing music! We absolutely love getting out there and putting on live shows for our fans. It's so much fun to meet everyone and just have a great time. To be able to drop our day jobs would be fantastic!

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
The highlight of our career would have to be being nominated for Group or Duo of the Year at the 2013 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards because it shows that we are being recognized by our peers and our fans in the country music industry.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
I'm sure the band would say that would be when I put deodorant on on stage. lol I was off to the side though but they never remember that. But I don't care. It just shows I'm human and can get smelly just like everyone else!

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
At this moment we are working on getting a whole album put together. Our debut single 'Girls Get in Free' was released to radio stations across Canada, the United States and the UK in March 2012. So as of now, that's the song that would represent us because it's the only original song our fans have heard. We do have another single being released at the end of this summer which we think is gonna rock!

Where can we listen to it?:
The best place to stream it for free would be on our website - www.KeroseneCreek.com. It is available for purchase on iTunes, CD Baby and ReverbNation. Those links are on our website as well.

Where can we find out more about your music?
CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/kerosenecreek2

Anything else you’d like to say about your band that I forgot to ask?:
Greg, we would like to thank you so much for taking the time to ask us your questions and help share our band/music with the world!
