Sanity Loss Q&A

Your name:
Dan Halsey (Lead Guitarist).

Where are you from?
Aylesbury, UK.

Name of band:
Sanity Loss.

Who else is in your band?
Tyler Dawson (Bassist)
Ryan 'Doogal' Delglyn (Drummer)
Daryl Jameson (Vocalist)

How would you describe yourselves?
We aren't like other bands. We have a wide range of influences from 80's glam bands such as Motley Crue/W.A.S.P to modern hardcore bands such as Asking Alexandria/Motionless In White, so we put all those influences into the mix! We have a rock n roll (make-up, bandanas, big hair) outlook playing hardcore heavy music. You'll have to see us to understand what I mean!

Who are your main influences musically?
I have many influences ranging from metal to rock n roll, being a guitarist its important to broaden your horizons so when it comes to writing music there is so much to choose form as a pose to just certain things. Experimenting with different sounds, different styles and different influences really helps make something stand out and helps to get your creativity out.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
The main goal is to tour, play our music to fans across the world and to be signed, anything else after that is a bonus for us. Building fan bases and having as much contact with fans as possible is really important to us so we make as much time as we can for them. Playing our music to people who care, people who want to hear us because we love our fans and we want to perform wherever and whenever we can.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Sanity Loss hasn't been going that long but already at our first three shows we had a lot of people show up and everyone really enjoyed what we are which is a great feeling because we aren't a big band nor have we been going long so it was amazing to see so many people at each show. That's the highlight so far!

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
We had a bad show due to sound so we had to make do with what we had but people said it sounded great out front, but on stage we couldn't hear a thing which was really annoying.

If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
I really like our song called "Fearless" because its just about not being afraid to show your who you really are and you should be proud of it. We as a band believe in ourselves and we want to show others that they should too and not be afraid at what society throws at you. We have been through alot individually and we aren't afraid of who we are, we advocate very strongly on showing who you are and being proud and if people have a problem with it then thats there problem.

Where can we listen to it?
It will be available soon, hopefully at the end of this year, it will be found on our Facebook page :)

Where can we find out more about your music?
