Your names:
Chris Lemieux, Horse Cardno, Ian Hunts, Mike Palmer.
Where are you from?
Winnipeg, Canada (It's fucking cold here, eh?).
Name of band:
Spill The Blood.
How would you describe yourselves?
Scrap metal. We like to play loud and heavy music, but we have many influences and we try to take something from all of them. In a sense, we're just trying to be our own favorite band.
Who are your main influences musically?
Mostly metal bands. At The Gates, Darkest Hour, The Black Dahlia Murder, Protest The Hero, and Lamb of God would definitely come to mind. We also love punk bands like Propagandhi, and A Wilhelm Scream, and we definitely show it in our songs. We admit however that even though we play heavy music, we still love to rock the Elton John and Bob Marley. A lot.
What do you hope to achieve in music!
Travel the world playing our music, and to write music that makes people want to pick up an instrument.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Getting to play at the Royal Albert Arms in Winnipeg. This place was legendary in the local punk and metal scenes, but when it shut down a few years back we never thought we’d have the chance to play there. It was surreal actually getting to play on the stage where we'd seen so many of our favorite bands and shows.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
We like to reflect on everything we do, so trying not to forget anything is the real issue for us.
If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
At this time we only have a demo released, and since it is definitely the most primitive of our material, the album in its entirety would probably capture our sound better than any one song from it could. We also feel that we've evolved so much as a band since we recorded it, that our newer songs (that we're about to record) will be the best representation what we're trying to do.

Anything else you’d like to say about your band/music that I forgot to ask?
We recently took our musical relationships to the next step…and got a house together. After taking a few months to properly settle in, we finally have a solid home base for jamming, writing, and recording. We're about to start on recording our first full-length album, which we hope to release sometime this year.
Our music isn’t for everyone - but if you're a fan of horror movies, binge drinking, grandma's kisses, evil villains from video games, astral projections, or finding old nugs in the couch cushions - then Spill The Blood might be for you.
