Michael Martin
(vocals), Glyn Rolmanis (drums) and Joe Weinstock (guitars).
Where are you
from?
We are actually
spread across the planet! Michael is from
Easton, Pennsylvania in the USA.
Glyn lives by
the beach in Bournemouth, UK, and Joe lives in
Salisbury, UK.
Name of band:
Minus Cube
How would you describe yourselves?
Joe - Thoughtful
lyrics and intelligent rock music, with plenty of riffs and emotion.
Michael -
Awesome! haha!
Glyn - A mixture
of old and new rock. There's no doubt Alice in Chains influences take a front
row seat, but we're happy to push a boundary or two when a good idea
strikes.
Who are your main influences musically?
Glyn -
Personally, Rage Against The Machine, Alter Bridge and anyone else who can
crank out a good riff.
Michael - Alice
in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots... All kinds of Music
though!!
Joe - Alice in
Chains, A Perfect Circle, Van Halen, Hurt, Soundgarden & the great 90's
rock bands.
What do you hope to achieve in music?
Michael -
Creation of great and timeless songs!
Glyn - Fun, fun
and more fun.
Joe - To be able
to write great and honest music that can hopefully resonate with people in some
way. I like emotion in songs, and try to incorporate that in some way in
everything we do.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Glyn - Getting a
song played on the radio.
Joe - This point
right now in my music career is the best I've known. Radio play, some great
interaction with those who like our music, and writing our best songs with the
best musicians and people I've worked with.
Michael - The
Radio! First time ever.
And what’s the moment you want to forget?
Michael - None!
Glyn - Playing
gigs in venues to basically zero people. But who hasn't done that? ;-)
Joe - Sound
limiters tripping all the amps at a gig! Glyn's drums sounded good on their own
though :-)
If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what
would it be and why?
Glyn -
'Shallow'. Because it rocks. It rocks hard :-)
Michael - 'Into
The Air' or 'Somnambulist'.. they're both great songs with a lot of
meaning
Joe - It's a
tough one, because some of our songs have a varied style to them. 'Into The
Air' is the one song we've written that I'm most proud of. It has a very
special meaning lyrically and musically, I'm very proud of how it sounds. The
suggestions Mike and Glyn made above would be my recommendations also, to get
the best idea of what we're all about!
Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?
Anything else you’d like to say that I forgot to ask?
We hope you like
our songs.. If you do, feel free to get in contact with us, and thank you Greg
