Faltered Q&A

Band name:
Faltered

Where are you from?
We're from North Wales.

Who is in your band?
Daniel (guitars/vox) & Conor (drums/percussion/main vox), plus various live members.

How would you describe yourselves?
We're an alternative rock band that likes to keep people guessing. Big guitars, unexpected quiet sections, off-kilter rhythms and time signatures that will keep you on your toes.

Who are your main influences musically?
Well we're both really into Reuben, Biffy Clyro, Hundred Reasons, Silverchair and Vex Red, to name but a few. Just that old school alternative sound really.

What do you hope to achieve in music?
Well we hope to release a few albums, tour with some more ace bands and just generally get our music out there and enjoy it. We are confident that our sound has a little bit of everything for everyone.

What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
Probably Jason Wilcock (formerly of Reuben) mastering our latest LP for us and receiving some great feedback from him. It's always good to hear from a producer that really knows what he's on about.

And what’s the moment you want to forget?
That would probably be the first time we heard our debut EP in full, it just didn't cut the mustard. We spent a lot of time on that and the end result was less professional sounding than our own bedroom demos, very disheartening. Needless to say, we haven't been back to that particular studio...

If you could choose just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
We think we would choose 'If This Is A Joke Then I'm Not Laughing' from our latest offering 'Fortune Favours' (which is out in September)

Where can we listen to it?

Where can we find out more about your music?
