How would you describe yourselves ?
We are an indie rock band from Milan. We write and sing in English, musically we are not notably Italian, we consider ourselves more international than Italian.
Who are your main influences musically ?
The band is influenced by many different musical genres and eras due to the generations that we span, but the general influence is rock. U2, Muse, Queen, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Kings of Leon etc .. Big bands with big sounds.
What do you hope to achieve in music ?
Firstly, we want as many people as possible to hear our music, we want to feel our art and effort being appreciated.
A line in one of our songs goes "You really need to be pleased about what you've done" - That's what we want - to be pleased with the fruits of our labour.
Finding people who appreciate what we do, who align with our passion, that's really rewarding.
Above and beyond that, whatever might come can only make it better.
What has been the highlight of your career so far, and why?
It's still very early in our career, actually, we don't truly feel it is our career ... yet!
We are finally a full band. It has only been 10 months since we came together, but we are making great progress, and this current moment, making our first studio album is the pinnacle so far.
The first single is due to be released on March 14th and the album will be ready by summer.
And what's the moment you want to forget ?
None. We believe that all moments, even the difficult ones are part of the history of each band, and somehow, in the end, they all lead you in the right direction.
If you had to pick just one of your songs to represent your music, what would it be and why?
No doubt Part Of It. It describes the possibilities in which anyone can be a part of something, and feel that they belong. We are all part of Revangel because we share the same passion for music, we are united in our passion. It's passion for music, passion for life - Revangel is the son borne of our shared passion, we have found the place in which we belong ... we are Part Of It.
